A dollop of resource juniors and a pinch of human resources
have
swept Dartboard to another famous win. It may be the first time
HR
has helped anybody make money. A return of 23 per cent over
four
weeks isn't peanuts, particularly against the market's 3.4 per
cent, so well done Darty.
Chartist Ricardo Pritchard stormed home to pip Nova radio's
Wippa to be best of the rest, after a freakish 50 per cent final
surge in Gondwana Resources.
El Wippo picked some great performers and some rubbish ones. It
was Centro Properties that assured him a podium finish – more
than doubling in value over four weeks. Doreen Daze beat the index
in final counting, as did student Michael Clay. Michael had a
good-looking portfolio.
Ceramic Fuel Cells was his best performer, up over 20 per cent,
but Fisher & Paykel Appliances failed to deliver the (white)
goods and the usually reliable CSL was battered by the muscular
Aussie dollar.
Goodman Group was the best of reader Abhishek Bhatewara's
portfolio, while Philip Baker's strong final stretch wasn't enough
to lift him into the black and above last spot.
