Will my pension from super be tax-free after I turn 60?

Q.

I am in a defined superannuation scheme that is already taxed. I plan to retire when I reach my preservation age of 55. Do the changes to superannuation that commenced in September 2007 mean that once I reach the age of 60 then NO tax will be taken out and therefore increase my net pension by 15%?

A.

Once you reach 60 your pension should be tax free.
