Credit cards

Q.

I am a 20-year-old female earning $31,980 pa. I have a personal loan of $12,000 with an outstanding amount of $8,000 and a credit card with a limit of $4,000 and no balance owing. I want to apply for another credit card but I was refused a car loan recently and wonder if this will impact on my application for another credit card and also on my credit rating. Would you know? Could you also advise which credit card provider I should apply to?

A.

Go to www.cannex.com.au where the credit cards available are listed and analysed. I am concerned that a person in your situation needs a further credit card and I suggest you think about doing a budget with the aim of getting your financial affairs under control. If you don't do this you may find yourself drifting into difficult financial circumstances.
